DERMATOPOIETIN™ is the body’s own regulator of tissue renewal. The natural production of DERMATOPOIETIN™ in the skin decreases with age causing most of the signs of skin aging. Thus, regular cosmetic application of DERMATOPOIETIN™ provides the full compensation for the deficit and consequently enhances skin renewal.
DERMATOPOIETIN™ does not deliver any functional components into the skin. It rather acts by triggering the tissue’s own regenerative abilities. DERMATOPOIETIN™`s wide-ranging functional capability is achieved through activation of tissue`s own biosynthetic potential.
In contrast to common cosmetic compounds DERMATOPOIETIN™ doesn`t deliver any functional compounds into the skin. This agent rather acts straight forward through activation of tissue`s own regenerative capacities. The entire process of tissue renewal is carried out by its own biosynthetic machinery under regulation of DERMATOPOIETIN™. DERMATOPOIETIN™ activates expression of all skin tissue relevant growth and differentiation factors like HGF, KGF and TNF-alpha from the upper layer of epidermis. These growth factors are sensed by the neighbor cells and induce global tissue remodeling process including skin cells proliferation and migration as well as controlled synthesis or degradation of extracellular matrix.
On the contrary to all current cosmetic agents, which require skin penetration in order to cause any effect, DERMATOPOIETIN™ acts in a non-penetrating manner. It is naturally produced onto the upper epidermal layer (stratum corneum) from there it is delivered to the skin surface. DERMATOPOIETIN™ doesn`t have to penetrate skin as it acts just by binding to its receptor on the skin surface. This top-down mode of action entirely imitates application of cosmetic product containing DERMATOPOIETIN™, making it exceptionally efficient.
DERMATOPOIETIN™ is continuously produced in upper layer of epidermis throughout our life. Yet its production greatly decreases with age, slowing down regenerative processes in skin. Eventually skin cells become unable to repair tissue damage and signs of aging skin begin to accumulate. Application of DERMATOPOIETIN™ on skin allows compensating its age-related deficit.
Apart from its constitutive role in tissue renewal DERMATOPOIETIN™ as well protects skin from unfavorable environmental changes like UV, detergents or mechanic damage.
